PASSENGER CODE OF CONDUCT
Roamward Bound is committed to providing safe, respectful, and enjoyable travel experiences for all guests. By booking and participating in a Roamward Bound trip, you agree to follow this Passenger Code of Conduct.
Failure to comply may result in removal from the trip without refund.
1. RESPECT FOR OTHERS
All guests are expected to:
- Treat fellow travelers, trip leaders, guides, drivers, vendors, and local communities with respect
- Be considerate of different backgrounds, cultures, identities, and viewpoints
- Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive group environment
- Avoid behavior that is disruptive, threatening, abusive, or discriminatory
Roamward Bound is committed to providing inclusive travel experiences and does not tolerate harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind. This includes conduct or language directed at an individual or group based on religion, political affiliation, race, ethnicity, nationality, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, or social or economic status.
Political discussions, debates, or advocacy are strongly discouraged, as they can detract from the shared group experience. Trip leaders reserve the right to redirect or discontinue conversations or behavior that are divisive, disruptive, or inconsistent with Roamward Bound’s values.
2. SAFETY & INSTRUCTIONS
For the safety of the group:
- Guests must follow instructions provided by Roamward Bound trip leaders and guides
- Safety briefings, schedules, and guidelines must be respected
- Guests must not engage in reckless or dangerous behavior
Roamward Bound reserves the right to modify activities or remove a guest if safety is compromised.
3. ALCOHOL, SUBSTANCES & INTOXICATION
- Responsible alcohol consumption is expected at all times
- Excessive intoxication that disrupts the group or creates safety concerns is prohibited
- Illegal drugs or controlled substances are strictly prohibited
Any substance-related behavior that impacts safety, legality, or group enjoyment may result in immediate removal without refund.
4. LEGAL COMPLIANCE
Guests must:
- Obey all local, state, and federal laws
- Respect rules and regulations at accommodations, attractions, and public spaces
- Assume responsibility for any fines, citations, or legal consequences resulting from their actions
Roamward Bound is not responsible for legal issues arising from guest behavior.
5. VEHICLE & ROAD TRIP CONDUCT
For trips involving road travel or self-driving segments:
- Guests must operate vehicles responsibly and legally
- Valid driver’s licenses, insurance, and roadworthiness are the guest’s responsibility
- Reckless driving, impaired driving, or unsafe vehicle behavior will not be tolerated
Roamward Bound is not responsible for mechanical issues, accidents, or traffic violations.
6. RESPECT FOR ACCOMMODATIONS & PROPERTY
Guests are responsible for:
- Treating accommodations, vehicles, and shared spaces with care
- Any damage, loss, or excessive cleaning charges caused by their actions
Costs resulting from damage or misconduct may be charged directly to the responsible guest.
7. HEALTH, FITNESS & PARTICIPATION
Guests must:
- Honestly assess their physical and mental ability to participate
- Disclose relevant health or mobility concerns prior to departure when appropriate
- Take responsibility for personal medications and health needs
Roamward Bound does not provide medical care and is not responsible for undisclosed conditions.
8. MINORS
- Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
- Parents or guardians are fully responsible for the conduct, safety, and supervision of minors
9. REMOVAL FROM A TRIP
Roamward Bound reserves the right to remove any guest from a trip without refund if their behavior:
- Poses a safety risk
- Disrupts the group experience
- Violates this Code of Conduct
- Violates the Terms & Conditions
Any costs incurred as a result of removal (lodging, transportation, meals, return travel) are the guest’s responsibility.
10. ACKNOWLEDGMENT & AGREEMENT
By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to comply with the Roamward Bound Passenger Code of Conduct. I understand that failure to follow this policy may result in removal from the trip without refund.
