TERMS & CONDITIONS
Roamward Bound, LLC
By booking a trip with Roamward Bound, LLC (“Roamward Bound,” “Company,” “we,” “our,” “us”), you (“Guest,” “you,” “participant”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These Terms apply to all tours, trips, experiences, and services offered by Roamward Bound.
1. SERVICES OFFERED
Roamward Bound provides curated travel experiences, which may include but are not limited to:
- Guided group road trips
- Multi-day itineraries
- Day tours
- Destination-based experiences
- Optional add-on activities
Trip inclusions vary by itinerary. Lodging, transportation, meals, entrance fees, and activities may or may not be included depending on the specific trip and will be clearly stated on each trip page. Guests are responsible for reviewing all trip details prior to booking.
2. BOOKING & PAYMENT TERMS
Booking Confirmations
To reserve and maintain a confirmed place on any Roamward Bound trip, all of the following are required:
- A completed booking request submitted through the Roamward Bound website, including acceptance of the Terms & Conditions
- A $299 deposit per traveler received by Roamward Bound within 48 hours of submitting booking request
- A completed and signed Passenger Code of Conduct received by Roamward Bound
- A completed and signed Passenger Acknowledgment of Risk and Release of Liability received by Roamward Bound
A reservation is considered confirmed only after all required documents and the deposit have been received.
Payments toward remaining balances must be made in accordance with the payment terms below in order to maintain a reservation. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the booking without refund of the deposit.
Payment Terms
- A $299 non-refundable deposit per person is required at booking. This must be received within 48 hours of submitting booking request.
- The deposit is refundable only within 24 hours of booking.
- 50% of the remaining trip balance is due 45 days prior to departure.
- The final balance is due 14 days prior to departure.
Roamward Bound reserves the right to cancel any booking if payment deadlines are not met.
3. CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
Guest Cancellations
- More than 60 days before departure:
Deposit is forfeited; all other payments refunded. - 30–59 days before departure:
A cancellation fee of 50% of the total trip cost will be retained. - Less than 30 days before departure:
No refunds will be issued.
Company Cancellations
If Roamward Bound cancels a trip for any reason other than force majeure (Section 11), guests will receive:
- A full refund of all payments made, or
- A credit toward a future trip (guest’s choice)
Roamward Bound is not responsible for airfare, hotel costs, or personal travel arrangements outside the trip. Travel insurance is recommended for all trips.
4. MINIMUM GROUP SIZE
All group trips require a minimum of five (5) travelers to operate.
If the minimum number of travelers is not met:
- Roamward Bound may cancel the trip.
- Guests will receive a full refund or future credit.
- Roamward Bound is not responsible for additional personal travel expenses.
5. TRAVEL VARIABILITY & ITINERARY CHANGES
All itineraries are subject to change due to:
- Weather
- Road or traffic conditions
- Safety concerns
- Accommodation or attraction availability
- Local events or closures
- Acts of God or government restrictions
Roamward Bound may modify routes, schedules, lodging, or activities when necessary for safety or logistics.
6. TRANSPORTATION & PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
Transportation arrangements vary by trip and may or may not be included.
Guests acknowledge and agree that:
- They may be responsible for driving their own vehicle for portions of a trip.
- Roamward Bound is not responsible for mechanical failures, breakdowns, flat tires, towing, accidents, or traffic violations.
- Guests must maintain proper vehicle insurance and driver licensing when required.
7. ASSUMPTION OF RISK
Travel with Roamward Bound, LLC (“Roamward Bound”) involves inherent risks that may include, but are not limited to:
- Motor vehicle travel and transportation-related incidents
- Slips, trips, falls, or other physical injuries
- Weather conditions and exposure to heat, cold, rain, or wind
- Outdoor, walking, and light physical activities
- Encounters with wildlife or domestic animals
- Travel in rural, remote, or limited-access locations
- Delays, changes, or disruptions due to weather, road conditions, or other factors beyond Roamward Bound’s control
By booking a trip, each traveler acknowledges that these risks are inherent to travel and voluntarily assumes full responsibility for any risks, injuries, losses, or damages that may arise, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen.
As outlined in Section 2 (Booking and Payment Terms), all travelers are required to complete, sign, and return Roamward Bound’s Passenger Acknowledgment of Risk and Release of Liability. prior to departure. Failure to submit the required waiver may result in cancellation of the traveler’s reservation and forfeiture of applicable payments.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Roamward Bound, LLC shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, illness, delay, inconvenience, or expense resulting from, but not limited to:
- Personal injury, illness, or death
- Loss, theft, or damage to personal property
- Trip interruptions, delays, itinerary changes, or cancellations
- Weather conditions, natural events, or acts of God
- Actions, omissions, or negligence of third-party providers, including but not limited to transportation operators, lodging providers, activity operators, or guides
- Government actions, travel restrictions, or regulatory changes
- Mechanical issues, vehicle malfunctions, or equipment failures
- Additional costs incurred due to changes in itinerary or travel conditions
Participation in any Roamward Bound trip or activity is voluntary and undertaken at the traveler’s own risk. Liability for participation is further governed by the Passenger Acknowledgment of Risk and Release of Liability, as referenced in Section 2 (Booking and Payment Terms) and required prior to departure.
9. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Roamward Bound, LLC from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your actions or conduct
- Your participation in the trip
- Violations of these Terms & Conditions
10. AGE REQUIREMENTS & TRAVELER CONDUCT
Age Requirements
- Travelers must be 18 years of age or older to participate independently.
- Travelers ages 14–17 may participate only when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is also a paying participant and who assumes full responsibility for the minor for the duration of the trip.
Traveler Conduct
All guests are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes safety, respect, and enjoyment for all participants.
As a condition of booking, travelers agree to:
- Treat fellow guests, Roamward Bound staff, guides, vendors, and local communities with respect
- Follow all safety instructions and trip guidelines provided by Roamward Bound and its representatives
- Refrain from disruptive, abusive, unsafe, or illegal behavior
- Use alcohol responsibly and comply with all local laws regarding alcohol and substances
- Respect shared transportation, accommodations, and public spaces
All travelers are required to review, sign, and comply with the Roamward Bound Passenger Code of Conduct, which is provided during the booking confirmation process and forms part of these Terms & Conditions.
Roamward Bound, LLC reserves the right to remove any traveler from a trip, at its sole discretion, for conduct that is disruptive, unsafe, or in violation of the Passenger Code of Conduct or these Terms & Conditions. No refund or compensation will be provided in such cases.
11. MEDIA RELEASE
By participating in any Roamward Bound trip, you grant the Company permission to:
- Photograph and record you during the trip
- Use your image, voice, and likeness in marketing, social media, and promotional materials
- Without compensation
Guests may opt out by submitting a written request before the trip begins.
12. FORCE MAJEURE
Roamward Bound is not responsible for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including:
- Severe weather or natural disasters
- Pandemics or health emergencies
- Government restrictions or shutdowns
- Acts of war, terrorism, or civil unrest
- Strikes or labor disputes
- Mechanical failures or transportation disruptions
Force majeure events do not guarantee refunds.
13. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
Any disputes must be resolved in a Michigan court of appropriate jurisdiction.
